Why You Should Be an Amplify Ambassador of the World & Share Your Voice

About a decade ago, podcasts were the new kids on the block, now they have reached peak popularity and what we’re seeing is individuals, businesses and communities trying their hand at projecting their valuable messages across the airwaves.

Remarkably, unheard voices can now grab the megaphone, and lives have been changed by the stories and lessons that are being told, by millions of people like you and me, right across the world.

In 2015, we launched We Are Podcast, Australia’s first-ever podcast conference. Our premiere gathering saw 17 speakers inspire the next wave of eager podcasters over a day and a half. In 2016, we nearly doubled the number of speakers, with over 30 voracious speakers from all over the world coming together to talk about the latest in online business, podcasting and marketing.

At the 2015 conference, Andrew Griffiths took to the stage to give an impassioned plea for those who are thinking about starting a podcast or already have one in tow, to come together, raise their voices and become and amplifier.

What is an Amplifier?

This world needs more amplifiers. These are the individuals that believe in one vision, that everything we do is about having conversations that generate a movement in some way.

Think about it, if you’re a podcaster you’re already sitting within that amplifier circle.

You have a message that you’re trying to convey to a larger audience, “It’s why we’re trying to do everything that we do in one shape or another,” Andrew explains.

“I think most of us are doing it because we like the idea of monetizing it, but we’re doing it because we’re passionate about a particular topic.”

The amplifier vision is to create a community, and we want people to nominate and become champions for voicing important messages.

“This amplifying message is getting kind of big, but what we need to do, is we need help to keep it growing,” says Andrew.

Building a Community

Podcasters unite! The communities that have a similar mindset are often the catalyst for real change. By championing these messages and supporting each other in voicing these stories, you can generate a platform to get those unheard voices into the international stratosphere.

Now, this is by no means a money-making move, it is all about creating a chain of people with a similar passion.

The amplifier ambassador community is a hub for sharing ideas, networking and building relationships that will not only allow your business and podcast to grow but ramp up the vision of what Amplify wants to achieve on a global scale.

“It’s a really cool concept for anyone who wants to get behind a movement, to create a movement, to spread the message about. About having conversations, about having better conversations in whatever shape or form that maybe, in whatever it is that we’re doing.”

Andrew is fully backing the vision here at Amplify, “There is nothing that a group of motivated, positive, energetic people on task can’t do,” and we have to agree.

“Once you’ve got this network you can feed in all types of bigger purposes, bigger missions but we’ve got to start somewhere.”

So, if you’re either thinking of starting a podcast or already have one then create a community, one that is united in a mission to share the voices of the voiceless and be a force for positive change.
