Steph Taylor: Empowering Honest Brands

Steph Taylor is an ex-corporate accountant turned entrepreneur, digital marketer and podcast host making her inaugural appearance at We Are Podcast, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Steph is one of those people who got stuck in some corporate job that didn’t exactly thrill or fulfil her. Some people stay trapped in the golden handcuffs of vesting stock, a high salary or the “certainty” of a good job.

Steph is not one of those people.

Instead, she’s another shining example of someone who took a risk, tried something new, and ultimately forged her own (much more successful) path forward. But it wasn’t an overnight success. Steph’s first entrepreneurial venture didn’t take off, but it taught her invaluable lessons about business, life and also how to overcome adversity (as cliche as it might sound).

She bounced back and spent some time working for another small business, overseeing digital marketing and content creation efforts. From there she branched out onto her own again founding Wildbloom, a wellness marketing consultancy devoted to helping genuinely good brands stand out in a saturated market. Wildbloom is not just another marketing agency. It’s a service for people who want to put their soul into the game. It’s a business built around honesty and a desire to make a positive change.

Steph has also founded the Socialite Podcast, to support and feed into all of her entrepreneurial efforts. In becoming a podcaster Steph bucked a lot of commonly given advice and still managed to garner a huge following in the space of a few shorts months.

The creation of Wildbloom, at least in part, inspired gradual hints that she was on the right track. These hints eventually compounded into a solidified direction, but that’s not to say that there weren’t challenges along the way. There were, of course, the initial struggles along with a sense from some family and friends that she would probably return to a “real” job at some point in time.

Instead, with the founding of her own podcast, Steph has parted company even further from what many people would consider “traditional”. The Socialite Podcast is designed to provide bite-size marketing lessons for small business owners. When we say, bite-sized we mean it, with most of her episodes lasting less than 10 minutes. This format allows her to deliver value while respecting people’s limited time and ever-decreasing attention spans.

Steph’s show gets to the heart of fundamental questions like:

  • Where do I begin marketing my business online?
  • How do I start building an email list?
  • Where do I begin with Instagram marketing?
  • How do I use social media marketing to grow my business?

The Socialite dives into the nitty-gritty of marketing but never loses sight of its primary mission, provide actionable insights that quickly transition people from the learning to implementation phase.

For someone still early in their career, Steph has a tremendous amount of insight to share. She knows all about entrepreneurial overwhelm, she’s learned the podcasting ropes, and she’s got a sharp marketing mind.

For anyone considering similar paths, Steph is someone to listen to and emulate—not to be missed!
