Self-Care and personal branding

Lilli’s Lowdown – Self-care and Personal branding

This week on Bond Appetit, Sean D’Souza spoke to Ronsley about 3 ways to change your life with the rule of thirds.Self-Care and personal branding

In this interview Sean shares his infamous vow to take three months of vacation every year. He also speaks about many other life changes he has made to feel recharged and happy about his work.

It’s certainly important to have a healthy work/life and budget balance. At one stage or another we all get sucked into our work and forget about life happening around us.

Don’t spend all of your weekends and days off straightening up the house or preparing for the week ahead. Take a step back, re-connect with your friends and family and try to do something new and exciting. This will vastly improve your mental state. Furthermore it will also re-fresh you for whatever lays ahead of you that week.

Self-Care and personal branding

On this week’s team post Tuesday, our in-house Hemingway – Elizabeth Clinen, spoke about self-care and how audiobooks helped her with that.

Just like podcasts, audiobooks are becoming a preferred method of consuming content. There is certainly still something magical found in a bound, hard copy of a book. Yet you can’t argue or beat the convenience of an audiobook.

As Elizabeth shares;

“They’ve kept me company during the hours and hours of breastfeeding (a remarkable act, but one that can get boring quite quickly), and they’ve cheered me up at the end of a hard day when I can just collapse on the lounge and listen”.

This week our podcasting tips are derived from Amber Hawken’s interview with Ronsley on Should I Start A Podcast.

Self-Care and personal brandingAll of us at some stage throughout each day think about what we are putting out into the world. It can be the clothes we are wearing, our stature or how our words and opinions can come across. So whether it’s obvious or not we are somewhat branding ourselves, and this continues in business.

You can always steer your personal branding in the direction you want it to go. Just implement a strategy and apply it to all that you do. But if you don’t know how to even begin cultivating your personal brand, this article shares some helpful tips to get you started.
